Update: PROGRESS After Following A Bizarre Eczema Routine
Hey everyone — sorry it’s been so long since my last update. The truth is, I’ve had some truly amazing results with my skin and I haven’t been thinking about eczema as much.
They say that when you’re sick, it’s hard to imagine being healthy — and when you’re healthy, it’s hard to imagine being sick. Weird how life works sometimes.
Now, it’s time to share my progress with you guys.
To recap, I’ve been following a routine for my eczema for awhile now. The routine is a bit unorthodox, but I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with the results.
Here is what my arm looked like before:
Red, unsightly, irritated and itchy all the time. I was covered in it.
But here is my arm now!
Before I get into things in more detail, I need to take a step back.
For many, many years, I experienced deep pain on a daily basis. Not just physical pain and relentless from scratching my skin raw, but emotional pain and depression.
In fact, I was very depressed.
There were nights that I would lay in bed awake crying. I’d wonder what I had done to deserve this amount of suffering. I questioned life itself.
It was a deep hopelessness that’s hard to describe. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. In many ways, what eczema did to my mind was worse than what it did to my body.
My entire life was hold because of my skin. I stopped exercising, socializing, doing fun things.
I’d make these excuses, like “if I only had perfect skin I could…”
The shame, embarrassment, self-consciousness, piled on top of the actual itching and unsightliness. It was no way to live.
No More Itching, No More Redness
My arm was always super inflamed, and itched like crazy. The back of my hands and legs were also pretty bad. It was absolutely terrible. This is how I had gotten used to suffering on and off for years.
But now the itching (and scars from scratching) has gone away and I’m way more confident about my appearance.
I’d say I’m about 99% of the way to normal and I have not had a flare up in a long time.
The redness has gone way down. Actually, people have entirely stopped asking me things like “why is your neck so red?” It’s nothing short of amazing.
But by far the best part is that I barely itch anymore. I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am about that.
The memories of super itchy sleepless nights are even starting to fade…
How To Get Rid Of Eczema Fast
The book touches upon a lot of methods for managing eczema: things you can do at home (without medication) to reduce eczema, improving skin quality through reducing allergens, tricks that you can use to stop itching, techniques that are supported by medical literature, and a lot more good stuff.
If someone had given me this program in my childhood, my eczema would have been taken care of long ago.
This has been absolutely HUGE for me in learning how to get rid of my eczema naturally; it’s really made a such a big difference in my skin and I couldn’t be happier =)
What’s even crazier: I haven’t used a single steroid cream, moisturizer, or taken any pills in months. Not even a little bit.
I can’t even begin to describe how good it feels to not be dependent on that stuff anymore; to not have to worry about running out of hydrocortisone when I’m traveling; to know that I’m not causing damage to my skin anymore.
I spent a good chunk of my life trying to figure out how to get rid of eczema. At times it felt futile, but thankfully it paid off in the long run.
I’m signing off again for now, but I’ll check back later. Good luck everyone.
